Self awareness and self- help was what DRAG preached among the first lot of women who joined the centre in 2000. Since then various skill development projects have been introduced in the women centre. And these now predominate.

Tailoring, stitching and knitting were the initial schemes. Since then adult education, computer literacy and even Zumba dancing as well as kick boxing as an art of self defence, have been taught under the influence of various innovative teachers that DRAG has attracted over the years. As these skills have enabled women to secure jobs, the women centre attracts more entrants than it can often cope with.

Skill training for girls and older women is also imparted in the DRAG school.
